Sally Brin ( pt2 )

Sally Brin's village had always been,
Even before they built the dam.
It was a gentle place to live,
The dam was an eyesore on
the land.

Having exhausted the library,
She decided it was time to go.
Even though she was shunned,
How she loved her village so.

As she prepared to leave her hamlet,
An earthquake shook the land.
She heard her people screaming,
in terror, "The dam is breaking".

Sally Brin saw the people running,
As they tried to get away.
What happened next,
They speak about to this very day.

Sally Brin stood like king Canute,
Holding back the coming tide.
It was inevitable she would fail,
She needed someone by her side.

She invoked an old a folklore,
Millicent Millican the banshee.
Was dancing by her side,
Then appeared Perry winkle.

Millicent Millican was dancing up a storm,
To push the water away as the flood came.
With Perry Winkle tap dancing Ice started
To form, Sally Brin had found a way to
freeze the water hanging over them.

The villagers walked underneath in awe,
Not quiet sure about the frozen wave.
Knowing that no one would be alive,
If it wasn't for brave Sally Brin.

As for Perry Winkle at last he'd found
his bride, Millicent Millican.
Never again to leave one anothers side,
They tap danced and danced as
never before. Then disappeared
Never to be seen again.
