A deep love tainted by societal expectations

I said I wouldn't beg for more

You asked me not to put it in a poem as if i ever would

Knowing what is and isn't sacred

You're knocking about which is longer than most
A risk but rate you for taking it still

I said I wouldn't beg for more

Confused
You said why
Why and why and why and why - not necessarily asking, automatic?

And I thought
Am I the only one who listened in this conversation

I'm glad you needed that
But
What about me

I still listen some times
On repeat
Over and over again
Crying for something that wasn't ever mine
