Hope you don't mind sharing my descent
Into dementia, Thought if I write about it,
It may help others too. As for the shakes
It only happens when I'm under stress.

Aaaargh

Today I forgot to remember,
But I cannot remember what.
I wanted to remember,
It's beginning to bother a lot.

Wish I didn't care so much,
Guess if it was only me.
I wouldn't worry so about,
My reality's losing touch.

I've started to notice extras,
My body's beginning to shake.
Not when I'm sleeping,
Only when I'm a wake.

I still have cognitive sense,
But it's almost as though.
The rest of my self,
Is hidden under a fence.

A ping pong of thoughts,
Run out of my head.
Wonder if there hiding,
Under the bed.

Had to ask the wife,
What's that round thing.
The A I that we ask anything,
"Alexa" is all that she said.

Today another sensation,
Came over lucky old me.
When we went out to the shops,
I forgot to remember I needed to wee.

Yours sincerely till the crack of death.

Alan, I have been struggling for sixty years to find words when I speak! When I write or type though, they appear more fluidly. Public speaking in my twenties I began to think I had a brain problem. I did, but it hasn't got any worse in the interim. As we get older (present company excluded) these things happen. It is when you don't know where you are that you need to worry!!!! Sending you positive thoughts, my friend. Blessings, Allen
