a moan from the bedroom

dawn

marketa coming out of a dream

sheet and comforter thrown aside

nightgown

twisted up around her waist

a bad dream   she says

it's okay   i say

standing over her

i am transfixed by the nudity

by the rhythm

of her breathing as the dream falls away

as she settles back into sleep

i am yet transfixed

I agree one of your best - the image of the lover, tender and immediate, not a word wasted.

This is one of your best. Very WCW-esque. That second verse is perfection

Besotted. A state I find myself in from repeatedly. :) Nicely described in poetic form, my friend.
