Any Suggestions?

- the first step of isolation resolved is being able to get out of the house... the second one to resolve is to find people in my life...

So, how does one go about

Making friends with others?

I don't know where to go, or what

To do to create such a context.

Last 30 years of my life have been

Isolated and pretty much hermit-like.

Now that I've broken away from

This issue, I don't know where to start.

I want to include people in my life,

But really not sure how to do that.

Where do you find people?

What do you do to make friends?

Have any suggestions?

well my father was very concerned about me not making many friends
he bought me a book: how to make friends from Carnegie, it was an old book
I think the intention was very nice, the American style about making friends!

I'm not the best person to ask, as I don't have many close friends, my wife, who I've known for 47 years and a friend from high school who I met 55 years ago, and he lives far away. We never see each other and rarely even exchange e-mails. I have become friends with a number of other people as a result of situations having thrown us together: people from where I work, in-laws, parents of friends my children have or had. I think that it would be difficult, weird and artificial, to simply set out to make friends. Maybe you could build off of a shared interest, like guitar playing.
