If you think this story sounds far fetched,
Wait till I tell you about the crumpet in the
baker's shop.
A strange little piece of stuff
Laying on the bathroom windowsill.
Seeing that dead bit of fluff,
Made me feel quite ill.
As though my heart was made lead,
I tried to give it the kiss of life;
But alas it was quite dead.
No matter how much I tried,
I just couldn't bring it back alive.
Until I placed that poor little bit of fluff,
Underneath a microscope I could see.
That cracking piece of stuff,
Was more alive than me.
Thinking about it later,
At the time, I just didn't think you see.
That when I told the wife I'd found a bit of fluff,
And it was more alive than I could believe,
That was when she turned around and hit me.
