DOUBLE VISION

 

At the moment I am seeing
My world in two distinct
And individual ways:
With my refurbished right eye
Everything is bright, vibrant
And actually quite uplifting,
With the left it is very dull.
So amazing is my right vision
That I am prone to question
If I have ever seen my world
So clearly, so freshly, so new!
And I am astonished to thus be shown
How badly cataract surgery
Was needed by my ageing eyes!
Three more days and the surgeon
Will refurbish my left eye too.
To be honest, I can't wait!

The way you've written this gives the strong impression of you feeling uplifted by the successful procedure on the right eye, and the hopeful anticipation for the left eye also leaves me uplifted for you :) It's so nice when the medical world has a viable solution to a problem. I have to smile at this, as I've just visited my optician today and informed my right eye needs "refurbishing" good luck for your forthcoming left! Great title.
