THE DARKNESS SHOWS ITSELF

Shall I look within that mirror?
For I wonder what I'll see.
Will their be someone I'll recognise?
Will it be me:

Or will it be a face of clay,
A face that has been molded,
Into what it is today.
Wish I could put my fears away:

Should I look wondering within,
Who does that face belong to?
When did this nightmare begin.
Should I really look I wonder what to do:

I hate my indecisive indecision,
I don't know what to think or say.
I feel like it's an inquisition,
That I go to every given day:

I think it's time for me to decide,
To put my hidden tears to one side.
As I cover up that mirror,
And hide myself away:

There have been many poems written about seeing yourself in the mirror. Yours is a worthy addition, my friend, but remember that in the mirror you are mostly seeing what others see when they look directly at you. You can't hide away from that. :) Blessings, Allen
