STRANGE WORLD'S (poet tree final chapter?)

Stepping through my portal,
Within the poet tree.
I think something gone wrong;
I've travelled back in time it seems,
To a time that I don't belong.

It seems I've traversed,
Across the parallel universe.
To a lost mid century town:
There's been no industrial revolution,
At least none that I have found.

There's no wars to speak about,
It feels like a good place to be.
There's no religious beliefs;
Everyone lives life so free,
With the imps and goblins in harmony.

I went to see the talking tree's,
They were strange to see.
One bowed his branches,
While another Courtesy to me.
They told me about the poet tree:

And how it came to be,
They told me it was cursed.
To travel through the universe,
How it yearned to be set free.
Being it's the last of it's kind.

The poet tree had often spoken to me,
Through the leafs of the poet tree.
Leaving me a hearty verse,
Not just because it wanted to;
But because it was cursed.

It decided it liked this world,
With the trees it could converse.
The poet tree also deserves,
To live it's life where it wanted so,
We both decided to live upon this earth.

I've rode upon the unicorns,
Conversing with the centaurs.
Watched a dragon Being born,
I've seen many different things,
This has been a different experience,
I'd say and it's only been a day.

I've pondered many times,
Is this parallel world's my Insanity.
If this traveling was a curse,
For myself and the poet tree;
Now I know that is so.

No matter how many times,
That we have crossed the great devide.
We've never returned to our own earth's:
Although I used to take it for granted,
The poet tree has always been by my side.
