Lesson 39
And how the bugs in the garbage bincaress our trash. That is all they know of life.
Is this all they should know of life?
They do not dream, scientists write.
And maybe that’s just nature.
Am I unnatural because I dream?
Are insects more nature’s than me?
They do not dream, scientists write.
Perhaps that’s how one should live life.
But that poet long ago did posit
how butterflies dream of being man,
or maybe men are all a butterfly's dream?
And I’m a poet, not a scientist.
So, you can guess what I believe.
