The Evangelist

Here comes the evangelist, at once annoying and pathetic,
Thrusting his perspiring face too close to yours to let you
Know that, if you don't embrace his creed, you'll be condemned
To burn in hell. Your first reaction is to say, "Fuck off, you
Superstitious clown," but, when you look into his eyes, you
See his insecurity. Should you say you reject his faith, he'll
Question it himself.

in one way, one would say that in order to share the same faith you have to give allegiance to the same G-d?

Quite interesting to note that faith is internal and individual only able to be reflected or recognised in others. From this reading I understand that this mirror effect reflects both parties involved. How it ends up may just entirely depend on ourselves in the end, being born alone and thus exiting alone at curtain time. Much food for thought here 👍🏻
