The typed word is just that, a word, and can be confusing without the vocal tones that emphasize the meaning

What's the catch?...

Should we talk about a man eating fish, because that species does not exist
But then again a man eating fish is something he couldn't resist.

Brings me back to the first time we watched 'Piranha' which was double-featured with 'Grease,' the film we went there to watch. I had to take my sister out of the viewing hall because she actually had to be sick in the ladies. The visual man-eating fish is a bit of a help, but spoken aloud it is also quite hard to catch, I would surmise, even with the aid of inflection, etc. Probably too. many factors at play. But the basic premise will stand: the typed word is no match for the spoken word.
