About the deceptiveness of getting answers we want instead of the answers we need.

Like a moth to a black hole

Can you see the bright light in front of you?
Its shine so strong, yet the pull is not for me.
A beacon of answers to questions no one has cared to ask.
I see you reaching, not for me, but for this dark light in front of me.
I yell to you, don’t go. It’s not what you think it is.
This light has no warmth, there will be no smoke to carry you to the heavens.
I try to reveal the truth. I know I can’t.
How could I deny the light, when it’s right there to see?

arquious The PoetBay support member heart!
Gets deeper at each return. and of the "smoke to carry you to the heavens," that thought in itself is superb stuff of rumination.
