Midnight Close
Watching her lamp glow in midnight clothes
One eye sees what is, one eye sees only her dream
She wears the evening sky as she goes
Where to no one is ever seen to go
To see the universe cry in her eyes
Like all the rain of infinite tears
Like how Morning so often appears
Like the varied apparel she wears,
Wherever she is, wherever she goes
Watching her lamp glow in midnight clothes
