Time & Identity
If you're not the same person you were just 5 minutes ago, then you've become Mr. Question Mark. Defining identity across time is a challenge, since identity itself is a function of time! Whatever the difference in identity between your birth and your death, you still remain the same person... Is that an assumption? When a crime is committed, tongues start wagging: 'He's changed,' some say, 'No, he won't change,' others retort. Once a criminal, always a criminal, that's their verdict. Life imprisonment will seal his fate: impossible to reintegrate him, impossible to bring him back into the fold... he's strayed too far from humankind...Does university act as a catalyst for change? Does it simply accelerate the process that reveals you to yourself?
