The Fighting Fires
oh a soldier am I, and like you I am losing a warwe can't hide from ourselves - that's a luxury few can afford
so tell that grinning sun; that conviction's a double-edged sword
and my pen just can't compete, with sentences striking a chord
and I find you all alone, strapped tight on your throne
that chair's got you glowing and throwing up crows
and I'm not one to judge, but I won't do your time
so I'll be the reason if you'll be the rhyme
fires can't fight, they only unite
into such a bright and blinding light
science ignite
and flames don't choose sides
they'll eat any foreign soil alive
oh beacon of righteousness and freaks
cease with your guidence, drugging me
drumming the cadence to arms
so give me all you've got - your money, trust, life, love and hate
I'll piss it all away
like you've pissed on your soon to be grave
hell the gods clash in rage, cause they answer to you
you pray to yourself brother, pray for your wounds
you better pray for your pride, better pray for your worth
and pray for your prey boy, cause tables may turn
and I dont what this all means
or why it has come - just to leave...
