With a Grin and a Grind

well I came here not to save anyone
so state your case to the poets' sun
it wont help... but lets get numb
and love breeds hate too, I think most agree
and need & greed rhymes so perfecly
I throw up... the hands that feed

there must be something equivalent
to bottomless grief's pestilence

so come on and dance on the graves
they're so deep... and filled with ease

and I always see you in disguise
and in denial - dressed the part

with a grin and a grind they take aim at the eyes
such a capital cannibalism!
but our kin and our kind, while nocturnal, aint blind
oh the deeper the sorrow the higher the joy

I wish I knew you long before
the world turned against me and I against it
but call off the funeral before it begins
from ashes to ashes, to dust to my spit
and while that science is bias and all
I could not survive without cradling my flaws
and you may be higher and mighter now
but that appetite's quite a mouthful to swallow

they're so full of shit that they barely can speak
but sure eat...
and I've always seen you in disguise
a poor disguise - dressed to die

with a grin and a grind they devour all spines
it's not suicide, but pretty stupid
but our kin and our kind, while delinquent, don't dine
oh the deeper the sorrow the higher the joy

we can dance in the light of all hell breaking loose, I can love but I can not remain
oh! we're too smart to see and we're too dumb to not
take your antibiotics and run

The beauty of the honest dance, sway to the undeniable thought of being, I loved it.
