Just a word to my Dad

THANKS DAD

You weren't there Dad
I don't feel sorry for myself
You did me a favor, I'm not mad
I'm a man without your help

What would you have taught me
How to be a man live up to responsibility
In some of my misdeeds would you have caught me
Come on Dad now that's just silly

Would have you taught me to read
Or how to abandon my seed
To suck it up when I hurt or bleed
Or how to drink & smoke weed

Would you have taught me right from wrong
You could of but you weren't there
When I met you, you sang a familiar song
Mom and I were too young, it was too much to bare

Mom did all the work, I'm a man
All things considered I didn't turn out bad
My gratitude to you, you may not understand
But I didn't turn out anything like you
That's why I'm saying
THANKS DAD
