Spirits
Of things life
Of life spirits
Spirits
Images of man and beast
In a conscious phenomenon
Of midnights and candles
Hands on tables circles with
Numbers and angles
And men as the full moon smiles
Sing their songs and Fill the air
with haunting melodies
They
Sometimes friendly sometimes
Wretched images of man and
Beast linger amongst us
In patient anticipation of their
Invokers call echoing the
Midnight song
Tricks or treats how they greet
Innocent of the world they
Imitate
Children fall prey to witches on
Brooms pumpkins that grin as
Crooked men
Echo the midnight song
That song
