47. Niagara
Whenever something happens
that enhances and speeds up your love,
just throw yourself right into it,
abandon life and soul and everything
and let yourself be swept along the current
even if it carries down the Niagara;
for what higher meaning can you find in life
than just for once allow yourself the privilege
and joy of falling down the ultimate extinction
of yourself in a cascade of splendour
in abysmal adequate abandonment
of enthusiastic life and love
in the exhilaration of consummate beauty?
Let yourself be brought to heaven
just by falling down as long as possible
the whole path of the Milky Way
to end up in another way
triumphantly with all eternity.
