Don't stir the muddy waters

There was a time once of ambitions,
of dreams of glory and success,
but it went down the drain in ruins
and can never be recovered or restored.
The past is past and never can be presented again
as something of the present,
and it’s always best to leave all ruins at peace alone,
for if they are disturbed you’ll never know
what demons and unblessed spirits might arise
to spread unprecedented havoc
by its restless universal nightmares.
