A charming new friend asked me to write a small piece about the authentic self.

Authentic Self

I wonder what clothes i will wear today
i wish i knew
i wish i could say...

...and so i wander through this room
my room of fractured mirrors
talking to my fears each day
searching for the words to say
i see my face on every wall
sometimes melancholy
sometimes the fool
and here i search for the missing person
fighting through the fog of doubt
hiding somewhere deep inside me
a spirit i call - my authentic self.

BlueyedSoul
sum of days this mirror i pass
and think by now i know this lass
but deep within i question what and who
perchance my true self shall find a clue

great write rik...sellf discovery seems to be an on-going process for all of us.

I really liked this and always love your style of expression.
