We all remember where we were at the exact moment we heard the horrid news on September 11, 2001. Vivid images roll through our minds and tearing pain grips our hearts.
pain and tears
abject sadness, horror -
emptiness leading to plain old numbness.
we all remember feeling
all these and more that day
four years ago...
stunned and shocked
panic, terror welling inside -
unsurety eating away at our security.
the untouchable suddenly
became the target of
vicious men who hate God's people...
loss and devastation
family, friends, fellow Americans -
all loved ones in their own right.
such sacrifice made that
day, over and over,
again and again...
wave on wave the tide of
destruction rolled and crashed -
to demolish "Dreams" we fought to realize.
step by step, piece by piece,
our great country has
rebuilt it's grandeur...
buffeted and chided
criticized, tormented and
ridiculed yet we still stand proud.
We are America.
With Liberty and Justice For All!
In God We Trust and in Him will we prevail...

~ We all remember where we were at the exact moment we heard the horrid news on September 11, 2001. Vivid images roll through our minds and tearing pain grips our hearts.
That day, I sat - doubled over - in my rocking chair... My pain preceded the news of the attacks as I was battling my own attacker. I lost my unborn baby that morning... I won't ever forget that day as it is emotionally and physically etched in my heart, mind and body. That day, I let God comfort me and I lived on to bare another child, a boy child when I shouldn't have been able to.
We survived and grew stronger to face new challenges... and triumph. With God by our sides, we can do anything. Put your trust in Him.
