Dreams
When your heart is broken,Your dreams undone,
All these things you have spoken,
Things you have never done.
Your heart lies open,
For anyone to steal.
Why do you cause so much pain for yourself?
Pain you can not heal!
When your shadow grows,
Your vision blurs.
How is this
For you to conquer?
All your fantasies,
All you've ever dreamed of,
Lies on the floor in the dust,
Stamped on by the ones you did trust!
All your life just slipped away,
There's nothing more to do,
There's nothing more to say,
But why did this happen to you?
In your childhood,
Were you mean?
No, you were just unseen.
Did you destroy the ball?
No, you were the kindest of them all!
But all of those
Who thought you were
Something to forget,
They lost their minds,
They lost their faith,
They were hard to get.
So with your life half over,
Half left, what are your dreams
Have you lost your power
In my meanest screams?
But then again, your face gets hot,
Your mouth goes dry.
You know you're not
Ready to die.
Too bad for you,
You're on the edge.
The bottom of the cliff
Is yours to see.
You slipped and fell,
And now it's over,
I stand over you and hover.
Too bad you didn't let go of your dream
Of being the one who saved those who scream.
Too bad you didn't realize,
All you needed was a little spice,
And your life would have been
Just..
The perfect dream.
