Mr Olympia Competitors and where they rank
A Little Long (you've been warned)
nothing special
he's run of the mill
Rodney has a long
way to go still
Francisco (Paco) Bautista
the spanish phenom
outside of legs
he's typical nothing
special average chest
average arms
Vince Taylor the 50
year old elder statesman
of this contest
He legitimately could
challenge Melvin Anthony
for Posers Best
Mustafa Mohammed, Bodybuilders
new cry baby
All you can say for him is he has
tremendous legs and a great chest?
maybe
Dennis Wolfe another
german giant is in the mix
give him a few years Dennis
as a rookie now will be one of
the newcomers top picks
Big Bill Whilmore
the guy has muscles for days
but he's no different from
any of the other giant
they resemble each other
in many ways
Ronny Rockel, now
I like Ronny's physique
and he will be a top ten
finisher in years to come
when he reaches his peak
Troy Alves, Troy is an old pro
with too many weaknesses
to be a top guy
Troy should soon retire
I'll be the first to say Good bye
David Henry, David would
have to be the best little
man
at 187lbs (contest weight)
David kind of gets lost
in this Giant's Land
Markus Ruhl, Markus
is back fresh of his
terrible showing last year
When it comes purely showing
muscles Markus has no one
to fear
Melvin Anthony, always
the best poser at any show
I always said Melvin looks like
an underwear model but
as a Bodybuilder has a long
way to go
Branch Warren, this guy
is a big Texan with lots of
muscle
but everyone at this level
has got that so he tends
to get lost in the shuffle
Johnny Jackson another
powerlifter type
Johnny needs to just
pick up his legs to live
up to the hype
Dareem Charles, if you were judging
Dareem brings a great package
to gauge
but when you compare him to the elite
Dareem looks like a buff fan
made it on stage
Toney Freeman, Toney can stand
toe to toe with anyone because he's
big and stands 6'3" closer to 6'4"
but he comes in a 267 to 275 and
on a frame that tall compared to
this guys muscles Toney needs
a bit more
Most of these guys are beholder intimidating
Toney is beholder friendly (aesthetics)
Most of the bigger guys have muscles
on top of muscles so standing next to them
makes Toney actually look skinny
Dennis James, At 5'8 Dennis has enough muscle
to match anyone, but something is
lacking in his preperation
I don't know if it's possible to have too much
muscle but Dennis has so much he lacks
seperation.
Gunther Schlierkamp, another German
giant nothing special he's just that
Gunther tends to be a bit blocky (Lacking Symmetry)
and constantly looses to Ronnie from the back
Victor Martinez, Mr. Potential
I hope Victor's come in the best shape
he's ever come in
because it's only about three years
before could be one of the best turns
to what could have been
Gustavo Badell, Badell is kind of
a weird guy to try to get a handle on
Because when he tries the size game
he's ok but when he tries to combine
it with spot on conditioning he bombs
Dexter Jackson, The Blade
man I glad to see Dexter back
at the Olympia needless to say
because Dexter made Sept. 30th
a more interesting day
Because without Dexter there you knew
Jay all but has second place lock
but with Dexter in the mix
Jay could actually loose that spot
Jay Cutler, it's rumored that Jay
has captured that conditioning of 2001
with his size today that should
make this Olympia the most
interesting one
Ronnie Coleman, The Big Nasty
is back to take on all comers
if you're asking my predictions
I think for all these competitors
next year is going to be
another long summer
Rumor has it that Ronnie
is bigger and even in better
shape
That better be true because in
reality it's Jay or Dexter's title to
take
See as a bodybuilder
Ronnie has no peers
but the problem is
he sets the bar for
others and himself
higher each year
He has to make improvements
because if he comes in looking
like last year's self
They won't be impressed and
hand the title to someone else
But as said in an interview once
if anyone else wins that would
just be cheating
Because from 95 to 100%
the Big Nasty can't be beatem
******************************************************
Ronnie is just so far ahead of everyone else in the combination of conditioning and size. Everyone has weaknesses it's just that he has less than everyone else.
More after this Saturday's Olympia...
See You Then LOL...
