The skin you heat

I have misplaced myself to illusions of competence

Blindly making only one mistake

Too close to the skin you heat

Amnesia have mercy on what is left

Do not show me any open door

Just kick this body until bones break

Anything

You

Phyllis J. Rhodes
Is this too much of a good thing? Or not enough? Or too much of a bad thing? Or not enough? Do you know the difference? I like the poem very much and I like the question it prompts. My brain is enlivened.
