fallen angel
I'm watching you slip awayOut from my fingers that hold you so dear
With words flowing from your lips
Accidental insults that I only know the true meaning of
Perfunctory words that seem to be lacking
The affections that you once had
You are falling away my angel
It kills me to watch you go
To leave me in this cursed Utopia
Alone alone alone
You forced me to love you
With all my heart and soul
And I gave it to you willingly
Wanting to lose control
But before the transaction was complete
You let me go
My heart drops to the floor
Still beating with love for you
And with that you're gone
Stripped of your wings and halo
That signifies that to I once belonged
I watch you fall down to earth
I scream out one last time
I love you I love you I love you . . . you can still be mine
You look back at me and smile continuing your descent
Falling to everything I hate and resent
You have fallen my angel left me here alone
With the feathers from your wings still clinched in my hand
They will serve as haunted reminders of our love bedamned
