Pen and Paper
Throttled parchment lay lifeless,Denied of unspoken tenderness,
exploding in every heartbeat.
Blunted pen bled dry and useless
In an attempt to sketch
my muddled thoughts of our affection.
All seems meaningless; these barren words, hazy promises
Drift across every corner of the room
Mingling with the bittersweet aroma of coffee and donuts.
Emptiness swell in the cafe
Fueled by the anxiety of my waiting for you.
My two companions have failed me,
my letter remain unwritten...
I love you
Goodbye...
