Haunting Memories

Orphaned children
Hungry
Scavenging
Lost
Pleading
Chocoletto...Cigaretto

Haggard
Hollowed cheeks
Vacant eyed
Lifeless
Pleading
Chocoletto...Cigaretto

Horrors of war
Pain
Agony
Aged children
Pleading
Chocoletto...Cigaretto

wow, I am so glad I waiting, as the timing was perfect. I think this is wonderfully written with the torment and heartache that you had to go through. You are really amazing!!!!

I think those memories would haunt, war creates more casualties, even after its over. I think you express this beautifully Stan, the wording of this poem, truly expresses the pathos and sadness. Thank you for asking me to read this - I found it truly moving
