Singing
To sing like the great one Caruso
Would make me really enthuse so
I would sing all the day
At work and at play
My voice would be put to great use-so
With Pavarotti I'd sing a grand tune
It would be such a wonderful croon
Be it opera or pop
I would not want to stop
We could sing on from morning till noon
Some think my singing's not moving
They're sure my voice needs improving
Don't care what they think
My voice is in sync
So I'll sing and continue my grooving
Take Sinatra or Crosby, de-Bingle
What those guys could do with a jingle!
Made many lass swoon
When spewing a tune
As a duet or simply a single
Those "Three Little Maids From School"
Whos chorus made school boys drool
From "Gilbert and Sul"
What they sang wasn't dull
"Nanki Poo" thought them awesome and cool
There weren't many resisters
To hearing the three Andrew Sisters
They knew how to sing
Their best singing was Swing,
Pleasing swinging misses and misters
Now remember the great "Velvet Fog"
His voice not at all like a Frog
His name, Mel Torme
Was a singing gourmet
His fogging had fans all agog
Remember the two Steve and Edie?
Their fans for encores were most needy
They sang pops and blues-some
When they sang as a two-some
They were really quite good, yes indeed-y
The public and musical scholars
At most any musical galas
Find boundless enjoyment
In great voice employment
At Carnegie Hall or Lascalla
Let's all sing aloud and rejoice
We can cheer the world with our voice
It's far better then warring
More appealing then snoring
Let's sing out,...it's a much better choice
