My Rhyming Block
I find there is nothing much worse
Then my brain refusing to verse
I get all-uptight
With no poems to write
For me, it's a literal curse
When my gray matter's rhyming remiss
With no offer of word rhyming bliss
There's no key for the lock
Of my rhymers write-block
Down deep in this rhyming abyss
It seems I've been dis-adorned-of
Words, poetically shorned-of
I've lost my old knack
Writing rhymes I now lack
I'm feeling lost and forlorn-of
Try climbing Mt. Everest
They say it's a difficult test
But it's easy compared to
Writing poems that I've dared to
This block has me totally stressed
