In Bush's Washington

Frankly speaking
An anomaly
Frankly speaking
More likely a homily

In Bush's Washington

Spin, and untruths
Undemocratically prevalent
What we get
Most usually malevolent

In Bush's Washington

Surveillance of private data
Might be here to stay
Our Constitution hurts
Each time he has his way

In Bush's Washington

At home, our liberties erode
As freedom overseas he preaches
Our Forefathers weep
At his flagrant over-reaches

In Bush's Washington
