Daydreaming
Daydreaming can be a reminder
If just for a twinkling or two
Of a world that perhaps is kinder
While helping your spirit renew
Daydreaming, sometimes revealing
As your passion it outpours
Portraying what you are feeling
As emotion it explores
Daydreaming is spun to embellish
Escaping the painfully real
It searches for visions to relish
In dreaming a life more ideal
Daydreaming transcends a present view
And when on a dreamy fling
Visions coming through eyes so new
Sends you from winter to spring
Daydreaming is chasing moonbeams
It's like riding a shooting star
Wonderful, beautiful dream schemes
Only awakening can mar
