A Message I'm trying to convey to a friend about responsibities as parents..

The reason I'm so hard on you

I'm a parent now
and I think like one
when I was a child
flashing my D*** to
neighborhood girls
was just fun

But now I've got a
little man who'll follow
my example and that's
not the one I want to set
I want him to show as
well as demand respect

I can't afford the mistake
of not watching how I am
because my mistake will
make my son something
less than a man

The old saying is you have
to see a man to be a man
the same thing goes for
a lady understand

we have children that look
up to the ppl. we are
and they watch what
we do
they're the next generation
and we have to teach them the
right way
and that the reason I'm so
hard on you..

This poem should be given to prospective parents at the first scan!
I'm sure that you are an excellent role model.

Great poem. I agree I think this is a very important message. I think the biggest influence in a child's life are their parents.
Wonderful!!! Its really great!
Keep it up!

Will this is such an important message. You are so right about our responsibilities as parents, leaders, grandparents, those of us who set examples for the younger generation. What we give out, we receive back. Thank you for this excellent poem. : )
