This poem was inspired by Linda Jenkinsons poem , '' Needed disease''

WALK IN THEAR SHOES

It is said to understand a person , you have to first walk a mile in their shoes

I have found with me having dyslexia , I walk in the shoes of many

I kinder get to know what it's like to be in the many ways of being ''diferant''

From the exseptd 'norm''

To be mistreated, talkde down too , never given a brake , opachonatys denied

Treated as if I am a fool , a creton , a moron , eidet 'n worse

Now I live the quote '' I could have been a contender'' , from the Brando film

''All a long the water front''.

I often prefer to be with those who are different from the expected norm... Guess that's because my differences make me feel at home in those circles.

normalil
You may have this "dis-ease," but it seems to me that you have conquered it.

A good poem with an important message!
It is so true: people can be so quick to look down on those who differ from the norm. Doing so, they lose many chances to get wiser.
Welcome on the bay!
