wild geese
o
yes
take me
to where
the wild geese fly
beneath the firmament
above the sky where angels
dare their wings to glide and
you and I can yet decide the narrowness
of heaven o take me take me take me take me now
above those clouds of iceling flow where not a soul
would dare to go unnoticed by the glory of the rising
surge of air and water yet to kiss the thirsting earth below
o take us take us take us now where we can taste the golden mead
and down upon the land beneath forsake the conflict and the strife the
living lies that pass for life the hunger and the greed of men and women
yes do take me take me take me now I do not fear nor dare bestir eternity's last wonder
