OUR MUM , US AND HER DYSLEXA

Our mum , was a total 100% dyslexic and WORD BLIND,

Not a word could our mum read , ''a'' , she could read tho,

It must be saide,

To say our mum waas enveouse , is well a bit soft to say,

More jelesasey than envy, I have to say to be honist with

You,

Our dad loved books , to read the papers on a sunday,

Whach a foren film , with subtitales,

Now our mum could not enter , be apart of that world of words,

So our mum would start a conversation,''I like her hair, her her dress or what

eaver,

Till me dad put down the paper or book , changed channels of the T V ,

This achevde , our mum , would then wach the telly, saying no more,

Our dad affter a little while, thinking our mum, was engrossed in the telly,

Would pick up the paper or book, mum notiseing this would start again an

inaine coment about the show on T V,

As kids we three , learnt to read, for my sis, Kathleen, it was a strugle

and still is , but she srugles on , Anne was competant,

But for our mum , jelousey , grew , eaver strongere ., in laiter years affter our

dad pop his clogs , our mum , did to us what she did to our dad, distrackted us

from reading ,

We were ALL victims of our mums word blindes , dyslexia as much as she.

So sad, all the way around. I can sense frustration with mom, but what a sad situation for her to deal with, too. It would be quite difficult to watch a foreign film with subtitles and not understand what is being said...

Yes indeed, you were all victims, but you are a good and caring person Ken, in that you can see the dynamics going on there. I felt sorry for your dad, reading this, and I compare your mother to my own. Excellent writing as always, here we can see your determination to fight the battle with dyslexia.
Well done as usual.
