dealing with my past...finding the positive in the negative. I guess that's all I have to say.

A Thank You Note To Hell

A Thank You Note To Hell

Evey time I close my eyes I see you
inside the back of my eyelids.
You've permanently painted yourself
into the dark of my mind.
You're like turpentine.
You've taken what you're made of
and mixed it into me.
You've shown me your true form
and what you can do to me.
You've ruined my canvas.

Every time I remember you, I feel you.
You're like an earthquake,
you've created a fear that
can be seen within my eyes.
I've never shaken like this before.
You've ruptured me down to my core.
You've ruined what was and what will be.
I am forever torn.

Every time I listen I can hear you.
You're like the stranger
who won't stop whistling.
I could ask you to stop,
but that takes too much courage.
You give me a headache that echoes
with your voice. I listen to you speak,
but all I can hear is noise.
You've gotten inside my head.

Every time I'm up at night I think of you.
I am now like a poet.
You've shown me what hell is like but
you've given me a way to escape.
You are the worst thing in the best of me.
Without you I wouldn't know my own strength.

You **are** a poet.
A pretty good one, at that.
Adversities do make one stronger... and more scarred. I like your perspective.

Welcome to the bay... I hope you'll find the waters warm and comfortable.
