I'D RATHER LIVE IN PEACE WITH YOU
I'd rather make love than make war
I'd rather be your friend , and have you
as my friend than us be enemy's
I'd rather wage peace than wage war
I'd rather visit your country in a passenger
plane , than in a bomber
I'd rather visit your ports on a crews liner
I'd rather crews than send a crews missile
I'd rather travel with my mate in his car
I'd rather pay for gas the petrel , than steal it
I'd rather not be shearing an armored car nor tank
I'd rather share your culture learn your custom's
I'd rather talk with you
I'd rather share a joke with you
I'd rather die than kill you
I'd rather not see my kith and kin
in uniform sent off to war
I'd rather not stand by there open grave
I'd rather not see there closet coffins lowered
I'd rather not have you experience that
I prefer peace , but thats just me, I suppose.
