This is a true story.
STRANGE BUT TRUE
A lioness were out one day a hunting
Or just out taking the air of the Samburu
game park
When she came a cross an orphaned oryx antelope
Now you would have thought she'd think ''lunch''!
But NO , she thought ''pore baby''
She did her best to look after the baby oryx
She were coniferous the antelope a vegetarian
The two just do not mix as a rule of nature do they?
The lioness went hungry as she had no milk so did the
Antelope
The locals had herd of story's , but just that story's told
Over camp fires , told to children , adults laughed , children
giggled at such absurd story's dating back to their anseters
Till they were taken by truck to see for them selfs
Their before them were the lioness with her adopted antelope
Both so thin, but the lioness was not concerned by her hunger
Later , she fell a sleep a lion came across them both ,
He killed and eat the baby oryx
She a woke saw what had happened , she roared out her grief
Her pain , her anger
The lioness mourned the death of her charge , that she had loved
A while later she adopted four more orphaned oryx ,
One were returned to mum , what happened to the lioness
A mystery of nature.
