Jesus is the Light of the world.

DIVINE LIGHT

in the midst of pain
and misery
there's a gentle voice
that comforts me
and inspite of all
my weaknesses
His divine light shines
right through this mess

i was in the
dungeon of despair
when i suddenly
became aware
that His grace is all
a pilgrim needs
i' ve been overwhelmed
by the love that bleeds

paranoia city
takes its toll
sin can' t be removed
with rock'n'roll
God provides a
different remedy
it takes more than drugs
to set us free

sing along with
angels in the night
darkness can' t obscure
the pilgrim's sight
break the silence
with your rebel song
it takes more than guts
to sing along

Learning, today, that Larz has left this mortal coil, this poem is perhaps even more special in the way that it speaks of divinity without a particular 'religion' (except in the author's comment) . And it does it beautifully in my opinion. Blessings to you, wherever you are, Allen
