Just by way of explanation...In days gone by, my good friend and artist, Don,
would try to stump me by dreaming up outlandish subjects for poems...like,
for example, this one
Hallucination
I'm heading towards damnation
'Cause the subject picked for me
A damned hallucination
Surely not my cup of tea
Even with an abberation
I'd keep my self esteem
It might cause me aggravation
But, it wouldn't be extreme
Hallucinating's no laughing matter
It causes much distress
Hallucinat-ors will often chatter
And rave in great excess
When fraught with their delusions
They may try to act so British
Falling prey to grand illusions
They will often act too skittish
There are very many a theory
On what causes this condition
But there's none that very clearly
Describes it with precision
