A NEW YEAR NEW BEGINIGS
What a start to the new yearFist seven days was the same
As all of last year , so I was eyes
Cast down ,doom and gloom
The dissempowered self
No hopes , no expectations
Exposed to the bills the debts
Cosing in
Pushing me in to the corner
Then last Friday sister tells
'A lad left' , '' So a jobs going ''
So come Monday , a long I go
More a case of going through
The motions , little hope deferentially
No expectation, I'd be offered the job
Arrived an hour early , a good start
Or what!
Zip broke on my coat , '' hear I goo again!''
Saw this woman '' I have herd theres vacancy''
She looked, well blank , inwardly I shrugged
I left my name ,phone number thinking
'' Well thats it'' '' fiveth time you've , tryde''
'' so no point is there!'' I think
So back to my house I trudge
Bills , bills , waing heavy on my back , knees
Buckling
Reaches the house , did not bother checking
The answer phone
As I sat hear look in to the blank of life
The phone goos , ''it's the laundry!''
'' I phoned , left a message on your answer phone''
The woman at the other end said
''Are you still interested in the job?''
''Yes please!'' I instantly replyde
''What time do you wont me to come fore
The interview'' , I say , with great enthoseasom
'' Half past two' , she , said
Well I don't poses a watch, time were
Wrong on my computer , an hour out
Miss herd the time on the radio
So I arrives an hour , early fore the interview
Went away , waited a way the time , zipper broke
On my coat , well , it gave me something to do!
At almost 2 20 , I was back , '' Your still early''
Says the lad from the front office
Stood thesr not fore long , the woman
Who runs the lundrey floor
She made me welcome, the up shot
Was , '' when can you start? ''
''Tomorrow'' instantly I replied
The up shot was , is I got the job!!!
Just completed my first week!
