THE SOUTHANLY WIND'S V''s THE NORTHlLY WIND'S

The Southerly wind court the Northerly wind napping

Gaily danced spreading warmth all around

Trees sprouted sweet scented and bountiful coulerful

Blossom

Bulbs broke out and grew , flowers showing

Spring was springing to put smiles upon our

Faces , lips wide , eyes shining bright

Insects out of hibernating , hedgehogs awakening

sniffing fore food

A spring in our step as we walk

Hope in our harts

Now lets see how this came about:

The the northerly wind awoke

Oh how cross ,damed right angrry, was old northaly

With young southerly , blew it's top , lost it's cool

Did old Northerly

Gave chase to southerly

Heather and dither the chase did go, but the southerly wind

Was strong how it smiled and laughed at it's northerly rival

''Hay you!" said the northerly wind shouted at the southernly

Wind

''How deaer you'' , '' this is my time'' . ''winters time''

''Your way to early''

Well the Southerly wind grind , in a cheeky child kind of way

''Well to bad , '' you cold miserable northerly wind'' ''times

Are a changing '' '' be goon ''

Well the northerly wind was strong , southerly winds stronger

As they chased each other first that way then that away

The southerly wind kissed the soil , bulbs sprung free of

Winters cold embrace

Soon green shoots appeared , soon daffodils and snow drops

Were showing above the soil , waving encouragement too

The Southernly wind in victory over the Northanly wind and

Over winter

The Southernly then zoomde to kiss the trees , soon blossoms

Appeared , heavy , yet gently on their branches

In with branches , joined in with the daffodils and snow drops

Waving to the Southernly winds

Waving , in victory, and bye bye to winter.

The Southernly wind and with it spring had won out.
