Writers Block

Long sentences of boredom
broken by the odd exclamation
that is how the day is written
what happened to the adjectives
what happened to the verbs of doing
nothing much to highlight
nothing much to quote
lost amongst the question marks
that roam across the day
sitting here with pen in hand
just waiting for the stop to fall
upon the empty page.

that is when words are resting ... thinking life over .. so they stay quiet for a while ... and then they like open up the door once again and it is like a river .. that is how I like to look at it ...

nice description of this state ...

That blank piece of paper or the screen - I spend hours doodling nothing in the hopes that something will come into my head - writers block can be so frustrating - the words well up inside but you just can't get them down
