some times in our lives, its better to leave those relations when their nature change from soothing and protection to prickling and destruction ...
i think one's life matters and not the fake feeble relationships for wordly sake.

Relationships!!

Relationships are like soggy branches
Besieging their intimates with shadows
But how could, the fact be shunned
Never ever, any bough lasts green
And turns dried with the cold stratagems of wind
No more remains then, comfort under—
And no more beauty.
Till they become bushes
That's protection, bruises & causes sores.
So the bearer either breaks
the prickling barriers to runaway
Or stay till the last gasp—
Beneath the tyrant's lee of dismay.

liz munro The PoetBay support member heart!
This is wonderfully
expressed in so few words.

You have breached a
difficult subject with style
and what sounds like experience.

You have a "fresh air" approach
to your poetry.

Welcome to The Bay :)

This is brilliant work Tamra and so true...I love the metaphor and you are right, when bushes expand outwards, suffocating the flora and forna, it is time to take the axe and clear a path to greener pastures....Love your insightful mind, Tai, smiling at you from sunny Cornwall
