Wrote it during physics on my arm in red ink because I was out of paper.

Pleading Glory

Sometimes I feel the moon and I are one:
our beauty marred by secret hurts unheard;
but I my troubles mourn til day is done
while she her sorrows bears with naught a word.
"Oh, Moon, you glowing goddess wrought with light---
could we not join, and be forever twain?
Would not our blessed union end the fight
against our fears, and thus bring end to pain?
I beg you, share your wisdom, light, and love
and I in turn shall never spurn your grace."
Imploringly, I raise my arms above
and hope that, though I be but plain of face
some good in me will let our spirits blend
and soon hereafter, bruises there to mend.
