A small note of gratitude to those who matter.

Diamonds

At the end of a relationship,
You look to those who help you best.
You start to study friendships,
And put them to the test.

Mutual friends won't talk,
They don't want to get involved.
Real friends nod and listen,
With open arms that hold.

There are friends you can laugh with,
And talk about the weather.
But the one that cries with me at 3am,
A diamond in my heart forever.

Yes they are and they are very few and far between, but thank god for them. A wonderful tribute to real friendships on the sea of our lives, well done. Smiling at you, Tai

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Such a diamond is hard to find. Enjoyed your poem.
