Youth Suited

He is seated intentionally alone
And airs he will remain so with his
Straight spine
Supporting him so rigidly.
He is buttoned fully clothed-
Not one wrinkle lines his suit...
Although his throat is open.

Like me
Many thoughts ago.

As we journey along for
A short space staring balefully into
Glass reflections
I try to let him know mindfully

Soon soon
Will come the days of laughter
And ease that will please you...
Transient as we are now.
You will be unbuttoned
And your eyes will smile...
Then your youth is suited.

TubaGiant
this is also intriguing
it makes me think of myself a few years back
and how I have changed to be me now
