And then

Fragments and dust
All that is left
Of childish dreams
But what dreams they were
Running bare foot in the dew
Climbing cherry trees
Learning to live life anew.

There are dreams that aren't meant to be fulfilled. Thay're meant to shine. Time and reality may crush them to fragments and dust, but their memory can still glitter after many years...
A lovely poem! I'm glad to see you here again!

Like the nostalgia of childhood summers where the sun always shone! I really enjoyed this Rik, I think I spent hours barefoot as a child playing imaginary games
